About Clover Fork
Clinic
Philosophy
The Clover Fork Clinic has a
history of commitment to prevention of disease and aggressive treatment
of chronic illness.
The clinic operates under the
belief that health is closely related to economic, social, and
environmental well-being, and that people need to be treated with all of
these areas in mind. In addition:
Our concern is for people of
all ages in the context of their families and environments. Our concern
extends beyond individual and family health to the health of the total
community.
We believe that:
-
high quality primary care
can be provided in a rural setting and should be accessible to the
population served.
-
a health agency must be
responsive to the needs of the local community. The concerns and
observa- tions of the local community, as expressed through a
Board of Directors with consumer participation, are essential
ingredients in decision making.
-
continuity of patient care
is best provided through use of problem-oriented records that
integrate the total range of health services.
-
this care should be
coordinated, and this can best be done through a variety of
personnel---physician, mid-level practitioner, pharmacist, dentist,
health educator, ancillary personnel---with talents united to
achieve quality care.
-
to deliver comprehensive
health care, all members of the health team must work together. A
team approach allows each member to develop personally and
contribute effectively to the organization.
-
continuing education is an
essential component for continued excellence and should be
available for every staff person.
We are committed
to the health education
of this community.
